Sunday Services

Historically, Sundays are an important day to Christians for coming together for worshipping, teaching and enjoying companionship with each other. We begin at 10 a.m. (although you may want to come earlier) for great music and relevant teaching from God's word (the Bible). At the same time there are classes for youth (high school) and children. A little over an hour later we break for some refreshments and conversation, after which we participate in the Lord's Supper (Communion). Childcare is provided for children up to 3 years of age. Programs

East Burnaby Quilters - Learn new and interesting quilting techniques. Friends, fun and service combine in making adult and child quilts for needy single moms and their tots, as well as pillows for breast cancer patients. Meets Tuesdays (9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) beginning again September 14 through to November 30, 2010 (a $3 drop-in fee helps pay for battings and backings for mission quilts). Kid's Club - Kid's Club is a energetic time designed for all kids aged 5-12 from our neighbourhood. It is an evening of great music, games, crafts, snack and story time. Club runs Friday nights from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. at Westminster Chapel beginning September 24, 2010. A parent or guardian must register their child on the first night and children must have a responsible person pick them up at closing time. Call 604-522-9311 for more information.

 

ESL - The popular ESL classes will begin again on Tuesday, September 21 at 10:00 a.m. The ESL classes are free and are designed for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Matthew's Paradigm - Following the map for discipleship laid out in Matthew's gospel, this is about the intentional, intensive and dynamic process of "walking with Jesus together." Care Groups

Our care groups are smaller groups for developing and experiencing genuine care for each other. The environment is informal and friendly. At present home care groups are located in Burnaby-New Westminster, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge (Korean), Burnaby (Mid-Day) and Surrey. Age Groups

Youth - This is a lively and growing group. A great context for learning how to successfully navigate life -- strong Bible content, exciting activities and solid leaders. Saturday Night Live! is for teens and young adults. Its purpose is "to encourage the next generation to discover and walk closer with Jesus Christ." The music is 'contemporary', the teaching 'relevant', the food 'good' and the people 'fun'. Our seventh season continues on one Saturday each month from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (September 18, October 16, November 20, December 18) (except for July and August) at Westminster Chapel (click 'where' on the bar at the top of the page).
