Back in February of 2020 we announced plans to transform our library room into a multi-media room.  Much consideration was put into this decision as our demographic changed and technology became more prominent. The use of our library materials was very low so it was time to repurpose the space.

We began by offering the books to our congregation to take home free of charge.  Over many months we eventually unloaded all the books while keeping a small selection of reference books.  Nothing more happened in 2020 as this project was not a high priority while we were all dealing with the COVID-19 restrictions.

January 2021 marked the start of the transformation into a new space.  All the shelves and furniture were removed.  The walls received a new coat of paint and panels were put up.  The white board was relocated to allow for the installation of a large flat screen.  We repurposed a large bulletin board from a downstairs classroom into three smaller boards placed around the room.  Work is still ongoing and we look forward to using this multi-media room when we can meet again without the pandemic looming over us.
